MMNC has another exquisite exhibit! Now open to the public, Immigrants: The Roots of innovation is an exhibit sponsored by Council-member Steven Matteo and the Cultural Immigrant Initiative of the Department of Cultural Affairs to highlight the work and ideas of many pioneers in the maritime industry. These people were known for the interests and the results of the work their ideas have sprouted, but they were also people who traveled to share these ideas. Immigrants have helped to shape the modern world in various ways. They travel to obtain freedom from war, poverty, or even just to start anew. Those we highlight have left a lasting impact on not only the maritime industry, but also the modern world.
